About Bero the Hero

 

Born on February 18th 1994, Beraccah Kisia, AKA Bero The Hero, is a classically trained Folk Punk and New Wav Pop Singer, Songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Kenya. At an early age, Bero became interested in music through church programs where she learned gospel music and hymns. She began playing the piano at the age of 10 and soon started creating her own original compositions. In her teenage years, Bero fell in love with folk, grunge, and punk rock music, and was inspired to develop her skills as a songwriter. At this time in her life, Bero often had the opportunity to travel around Africa, she interacted with people from all around the world, and with the support of her wide network of friends, has rocked numerous notable concerts, festivals & venues including Blankets and Wine, Nyege Nyege, Sikiliza Sessions, Industry Nite, Kilifi New Year, Alliance Francaise Wednesday Showcase; and has toured in France and the USA. 

 

Bero the Hero is a name coined by Beraccah’s close friends to describe the purpose and quality of the expression she exudes. Bero is a keen seeker of transcendental knowledge and sees her musical practice as her spiritual discipline. Her music is inspired by spiritual teachings, the questions she encounters, and ultimately, her divine calling to rock.

 

Bero lives in the Coastal Paradise, Kilifi Kenya.
